Ulm University of Applied Sciences strives to provide barrier-free access to its websites and mobile applications, in line with section 10(1) of the State Law on Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities (L-BGG).

This declaration regarding barrier-free access applies to the Ulm University of Applied Sciences websites and all the sub-pages belonging to this domain:

1. Status of compatibility with the requirements  

The THU websites, including their display via mobile applications, are partially compatible with section 10(1) L-BGG.

2. Non-barrier-free content

The content listed below is not barrier-free, for the following reasons:
Incompatibility with section 10(1) L-BGG in the following points:

  • Documents which were uploaded before September 23, 2018, and which are needed for active administrative procedures, are not yet barrier-free
  • Not all documentation (e.g. PDFs, brochures, forms) is available in a barrier-free format
  • Away from the main pages, sometimes alternative text content is missing for images and tables
  • Sometimes audio transcriptions or subtitles are missing for embedded videos 
  • The search focus sequence is not yet properly controlled
  • The website source code is not yet free from error


Ulm University of Applied Sciences has an extensive, multi-faceted website with numerous documents. THU's internet presence was created before September 23, 2018, and implemented using responsive web design. For this reason, our website is not yet fully compatible with current standards of accessibility for people with disabilities. THU continues to work intensively on removing the existing barriers.

This declaration was created on March 9, 2023.
The declaration regarding barrier-free access is based on the BITV self-test. The declaration was last revised on November 2, 2022.

If Ulm University of Applied Sciences does not reply within the period specified in section 8 S. 1 L-BGG-DVO, you can contact the State Representative for People with Disabilities in line with the ombudsman function described in section 14(2) S. 2 L-BGG and section 15(3) S. 2 L-BGG.
