Welcome to Ulm and Neu-Ulm!

In Ulm, around Ulm and all around Ulm

Two cities - one living space - one cultural area
Ulm and Neu-Ulm offer many leisure opportunities, from beer gardens and green spaces on sunny days to cultural highlights, shopping and nightlife on rainy days. Surrounded by the Danube and the Swabian Alb, they offer numerous excursion destinations. On a clear day, you can see the Alps, which attract hikers in summer and winter sports enthusiasts in winter.

With around 191,400 inhabitants, the twin city is manageable. Ulm (approx. 127,000 inhabitants) is located in Baden-Württemberg, Neu-Ulm (approx. 64,400 inhabitants) in Bavaria. The cities combine tradition and modernity and are the cultural and economic center between the Allgäu and the Swabian Alb.

Ulm is famous for its Minster with the highest church tower in the world (161.53 m) as well as the historic old town with its half-timbered houses, the federal fortress and city wall. Festivals such as the Fischerstechen, the Schwörwoche and the Donaufest keep traditions alive. Famous personalities such as Albert Einstein and the Scholl siblings come from Ulm.

Neu-Ulm has undergone a major transformation since the 1990s: from a garrison town to a modern service center with new residential areas and parks.

As far as leisure activities are concerned, the Danube cities have a lot to offer. In addition to cinemas, theaters and museums, there are also bars and clubs where you can turn night into day. In summer, the Ulm tent awaits you with a varied entertainment program. The open-air concerts on Münsterplatz have also long since become a cult event.
