Student Advisory Service
The student advisory service at your university will help you with your initial questions about studying. Here you can find out about application procedures, admission and study options. Dr. Matthias Klepsch is available to you as a student advisor. You can find him in room A208 (Prittwitzstraße 10) or contact him by e-mail at studienberatung@thu.de. Department for Equal Opportunities (Referat für Gleichstellung)
The Referat für Gleichstellung at THU is responsible for all matters relating to equal opportunities. The contact persons for questions on how to deal with discrimination, sexual harassment and violence inform those affected about various counseling options. The discussions are confidential.

Verfasste Studierendenschaft
The Verfasste Studierendenschaft (VS) (only in German) forms the "student government" of a university and represents the interests of the students. Among other things, it is responsible for organizing events, advising on student finance and participating in university committees. Students - both German and international - are welcomed to participate in representing the interests of all students and maintaining the services on offer. If you are interested, students can contact their VS directly.

Studierendenwerk Ulm is responsible for supporting and promoting students in Ulm to enable them to study successfully. It supports all students at Ulm University of Applied Sciences.

Psychosocial Counseling Center (PBS) of the Studierendenwerk Ulm
The Psychosocial Counseling Center (PBS) of the Studierendenwerk Ulm offers support to students of the University of Ulm and other supervised universities (Aalen, Biberach, Heidenheim, Schwäbisch Gmünd and Ulm).
Services offered:
- Individual counseling: Free, confidential counseling (German/English) for psychosocial problems such as learning difficulties, exam anxiety or personal concerns. Short-term appointments are possible in urgent cases.
- Courses: Promote personal skills and are tailored to student needs. Participation fee: € 10.00
Advice on all legal situations related to studying (e.g. university, funding and tenancy law).
Contact and information for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender and intersex people as well as those who do not wish to be categorized in sexual or gender identity categories.
Women's advice center and women's shelter in Ulm
The public advice center for women who have experienced violence, anonymous, personal and telephone advice, support and assistance in finding doctors, therapists, lawyers, clinics and other support facilities.
