Our main areas of focus are:
Over 3,000 people study at THU. They are also called students. At our university, hands-on experience is particularly important. This means that students learn the fundamentals and how to apply their knowledge in practice. We work closely with companies. There, students can complete a practical semester and gain insight into everyday professional life.
There are 6 different departments at the Technical University of Ulm. These departments are called faculties.

What degrees can you earn at THU?
There are two degrees: the Bachelor’s and the Master’s.
Both terms come from English.
It takes at least 3 years to earn a Bachelor’s degree. After that, you can continue your studies.
After another 2 years, you can earn a Master’s degree.
THU has two campuses. You can also call them “campuses.”
Research is also conducted at a university . Scientists discover and invent new things. Students also conduct research. They publish their findings, for example, in a thesis or in academic journals. Research is important for every field of science.
