Structure and Mandate: Focus on Strong Representation
The local staff council consists of 9 elected members. It represents the interests of over 320 employees at all THU locations—including both salaried staff in teaching, technical, and administrative roles as well as civil servants.
- Legal Basis: Elections are held every five years in accordance with the State Employee Representation Act (LPVG). This ensures fair, legally mandated representation of all employee categories and genders.
- State-wide networking: In addition to its on-site work, the connection to the main staff council at the Ministry of Science, Research, and the Arts (MWK) in Stuttgart ensures that employee interests are upheld at the state level.
