tutorials or orientation events
Writings or materials that are particularly beneficial to studies

Upon receiving the university's internal teaching award, the Rectorate nominates the candidate for the biennial State Teaching Prize.
Applications and proposals can be submitted by individuals, groups or university institutions as well as by all members of THU. Self-applications are excluded.
Proposals must be submitted in writing to the Rector of THU within the application period together with a meaningful justification. In particular, the didactic concept as well as the significance and impact on the course of study must be explained in the justification. The nomination of particularly motivating personalities should be justified by a concise, coherent teaching portfolio.
The Senate of THU elects a selection committee for each award of the University Teaching Prize, which is made up of one representative of the university lecturers, two representatives of the staff and three student representatives. The Vice-Rectorate for Studies and Teaching is the ex officio chair, and the head of the Institute for University Didactics (IHD) is a member.
The University Teaching Prize is awarded during an internal colloquium at the university, followed by an opportunity for discussion.
The Prorectorate for Studies and Teaching and the IHD are responsible for the THU University Teaching Award.
The announcement will be made sufficiently in advance of the respective award ceremony, after which proposals can be submitted in accordance with the award statutes.
