The Institute for Management and Entrepreneurship (IFM) coordinates and oversees courses and additional qualifications in the fields of economics, environmental studies and social sciences for all faculties and degree programmes at Ulm University of Technology.
The IFM’s interdisciplinary course offering is complemented by the programmes provided by the Language Centre. Together, these modules form part of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes as compulsory and compulsory-elective subjects. In addition, the IFM offers additional qualifications in the area of key competencies. In addition, the teaching staff supervise final-year projects and conduct research on current topics within their specialist fields.
The curriculum in the Department of Economics and Social Sciences (WiSo) at the University of Ulm (THU) includes introductory business courses such as “Introduction to Business Administration” and “Fundamentals of Marketing.” In addition, social, environmental, and legal topics are covered, for example in the course “Globalization and Sustainability.”
In addition to technical content, the curriculum at THU also emphasizes interdisciplinary skills. Depending on the degree program and academic regulations, students take one or more modules from the WiSo and foreign language areas. In some degree programs, individual WiSo modules are integrated as required courses.
