We’re delighted that you’re interested in applying for a dual study programme! For both dual study options – the Ulm Model (study + apprenticeship) and the programme with an in-depth practical component (study + work placements within a company) – a separate contract with a company is required.
Do you feel well-informed and would like to apply straight away? On the THU application portal, you can create your application online, select your chosen degree programme and upload documents.
A separate contract with a partner company is required for the Ulm Model program.
Apply to a partner company with the most recent certificate (approx. 1 year before the start of the course) and conclude a training contract.
Submit application in the THU application portal with all necessary documents (including employment contract, certificate and CV) by July 15 at the latest.

Applications for a degree program with an in-depth practical component are submitted through the THU application portal. Ideally, the contract with the company should already be in place when you enroll in the program. However, it is also possible to first make a general decision regarding your field of study and then sign and submit a contract later on during the course of your studies.
