The preparatory course offered by the Faculty of Mechatronics and Medical Technology at Ulm University of Applied Sciences helps you get off to a successful start in your degree programme. The course helps you make the transition from school or work to university easier, brush up on important basics and familiarise yourself with everyday student life at an early stage. This allows you to start your degree with greater confidence and a solid foundation.
You'll also learn all other details about the preparatory course on the first day of the course. Participation in the preparatory course is, of course, optional.

The THU’s official welcome event for the start of the first semester will take place on Monday, September 28, 2026. On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, there will be a welcome session and general orientation for the B.Sc. in Physical Therapy program.

The preparatory course for the Medical Technology & Mechatronics degree programs takes place during the two weeks before classes begin, specifically Monday through Friday from September 14, 2026, through September 25, 2026.
The preparatory course for Medical Technology and Mechatronics begins on September 14, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Prittwitzstraße 10 campus. The classrooms will be announced shortly.
