The energy transition is and will remain a key priority for our region and our state. The THU is exploring various technological and societal approaches to ensure that energy is supplied and used in a climate-friendly, secure, smart, and efficient manner. In particular, the aim is to further advance the integration of the electricity, heating, storage, and transportation sectors through forward-looking concepts and business models.
All activities whose primary goals are energy efficiency, climate neutrality, and resource conservation are housed within the Sustainable Energy Systems and Energy Economics research area.
