Ulm University of Technology has two campuses: the centrally located Prittwitzstraße Campus and the Albert-Einstein-Allee Campus in the science city of Ulm. Both campuses offer modern teaching and research facilities and are well connected to their respective local areas. Together, they form the basis for study, teaching and applied research at the University of Ulm.
Ulm is located at a railway junction between Stuttgart and Munich and is therefore served by ICE trains. From the main station, you can continue your journey either by taxi or by bus. Bus line 4 departs from the Steinerne Brücke stop (a 6-minute walk from the main station), and bus line 7 departs from the Hauptbahnhof stop.
Line 4 toward Böfingen Süd: Örlinger Straße stop
Line 7 toward Jungingen: Kliniken Michelsberg stop
Please note that stop locations are subject to change due to construction. For current information and departure times, please contact Ulm Public Utilities (SWU).
By car, the Prittwitzstraße location can be reached from Munich or Stuttgart via the A8 highway or from Kempten or Würzburg via the A7 highway.
A8: Take the Ulm-West or Ulm-Ost exit toward the city center
A7 coming from the south: Take the Ulm exit, head toward the city center, follow the B10 to Blaubeurer Ring, then Karlstraße
For all active individuals who need to commute between the campuses of the University of Ulm, traveling by bike is recommended. After a strenuous lecture, this is the perfect way to clear your head and relax in the fresh air. Plus, during rush hour, you’ll reach your destination much faster by bike than by bus or car, and you’ll save yourself the hassle of finding a parking spot.
