The Bachelor’s degree programme in Physiotherapy (B.Sc.) at Ulm University of Applied Sciences uniquely combines health, technology and science, and has a distinctive profile within Germany.
In cooperation with ulmkolleg, the programme offers a close integration of theory and practice. Physiotherapy training content is combined with the latest research findings and medical technology. Students acquire sound expertise in modern diagnostic and treatment methods and are optimally prepared for the digital and technological demands of the physiotherapy profession.
In addition to practical work with patients, the programme also opens up opportunities in research, teaching and evidence-based healthcare.

Physiotherapy is facing a digital revolution. Whether smart exoskeletons in neurological rehabilitation, AI-supported movement analysis in competitive sports or the latest high-tech prostheses, therapeutic practice increasingly requires experts who combine an understanding of human anatomy with knowledge of the latest technologies. The physiotherapy degree program therefore directly links therapeutic sciences with future-oriented engineering sciences such as medical technology and mechatronics. What's more, social and health policy developments are opening up new, challenging fields of activity with increasing responsibilities for physiotherapists today and in the future.
The physiotherapy course lasts seven semesters. It has a modular structure and is perfectly coordinated between the THU (Campus Albert-Einstein-Allee) and the ulmkolleg:
