Ulm University of Applied Sciences is an innovative and practice-oriented educational institution that designs its degree programs in a skills-oriented and interdisciplinary way, preparing students specifically for the demands of a modern working world through small groups, international experience and digital and flexible learning formats.

The Quality Management Unit (SQM) is the central point of contact for supporting and ensuring quality in teaching and is anchored in the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching and Learning.
With the establishment of a university-wide quality management system (QMS), THU has been pursuing the goal of regularly reviewing and further developing its degree programs - with the involvement of external experts and as part of a broad and university-wide strategic discussion - since 2018.
Together with the agency AQAS, THU is currently undergoing the system accreditation procedure and expects the decision of the Accreditation Council shortly.

All Bachelor's and Master's degree programs at Ulm University of Applied Sciences are accredited or undergo initial accreditation and reaccreditation within the specified timeframe. In the course of accreditation, the studyability of the course, the course content and the suitability of graduates for the future requirements of professional practice are examined, among other things. As a result, students receive a degree with a recognized and certified quality assessment, which helps them with the national and international recognition of their studies. The accreditation of the degree programs at Ulm University of Applied Sciences offers students and employers reliable orientation with regard to the quality of the study programs.
