The business world is changing rapidly and topics such as big data and AI are playing an increasingly important role. The Business Administration degree program at Ulm University of Applied Sciences prepares you specifically for the data-driven and digital working world.

Business administration studies Contents

The business studies course lasts seven semesters. In the first two semesters, the foundation course, you will acquire basic business management and methodological skills. This includes topics such as accounting, marketing, economics, business law, statistics, the basics of business informatics and programming.

From the third semester onwards, you will focus on more specific business topics and deepen your interests. In the fifth semester, you will complete an integrated internship semester, which offers you valuable insights into real company structures and practical experience.

From the fourth semester onwards, you have the opportunity to choose one of six exciting specializations to prepare you specifically for your professional goals:

  • International Business: you will deepen your knowledge in intercultural management, international accounting and corporate management.
  • Entrepreneurship : This specialization enables you to develop innovative business ideas and build up skills in start-up management.
  • Sustainability: Here you will deal with topics such as sustainability controlling, circular economy and raw materials management.
  • Computer Science & Data Mining: You will immerse yourself in the world of programming, data analysis and digital transformation.
  • Production: You will learn how to plan and optimize production processes efficiently, including digital factory planning.
  • Medical technology: You will deal with device technology, digital healthcare solutions and regulatory requirements.

The Bachelor of Business Administration offers you a valuable opportunity to spend a semester abroad at one of over 70 partner universities in more than 35 countries. You can expand your intercultural skills and gain international experience.

Requirements for your Bachelor's degree in Business Administration

You will need a higher education entrance qualification for your studies, for example the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or a comparable qualification.

There is no NC for Business Administration, which means that the course is admission-free. You therefore do not need a specific grade point average.

If you are interested in economic interrelationships and like to think analytically, the Bachelor's degree course in Business Administration is just right for you. Previous knowledge is helpful, but not a prerequisite.
