Project duration: 2025-2029
Project description:
The project "Adaptive Learning Environment using AR Framework" (ALF) at Ulm University of Applied Sciences (THU) aims to create a modern, adaptive-immersive-explorative learning environment by developing an AR-supported learning software framework. The content developed with the framework should be attractive for both THU students and pupils in final-year classes by promoting practice-oriented learning in the STEM subjects and arousing interest in STEM topics. Adaptive learning content enables individual learning paths, which should increase the individual addressability, efficiency and motivation of learners. Immersive AR technology also supports and facilitates the understanding of complex concepts through interactive visualizations. With explorative learning approaches and digital twins, students are actively involved in the learning processes, which promotes creativity and problem-solving skills. With this project, THU is focusing on the integration of innovative technologies in the breadth of its curricula and a flexible didactic structure that is also exemplary beyond the university. In the long term, the project is to be sustainably anchored in the community through open access, dissemination and transfer.
The ALF project is funded by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education as part of the "Teaching Architecture" funding line.
Further information, content and downloads relating to ALF can be found in the Foundation's Transferkiosk.
