The Institute for Decentralized Electrification, Entrepreneurship & Education (id-eee) is an institute that researches and develops applications of solar power generation and promotes their implementation. It possesses particularly extensive experience in the areas of off-grid electrification, solar power storage, and the system electronics required for these applications. In addition, entrepreneurs around the world who implement the insights and technologies gained are supported and promoted through training, research, and consulting.
The institute is an affiliated institute of the THU under the direction of Prof. Adelmann.
