Procedure
Industrial Engineering - Ulm Model
The dual study program based on the Ulm Model at Ulm University of Applied Sciences begins every year on September 1.
You spend the first six months in the company and start your training. This is followed by the two-semester foundation course. You then spend a year in the company, complete your training and gain valuable practical experience.
You will alternate between theoretical and practical phases. You will work on projects in specialist departments and write your Bachelor's thesis at the company in the final semester.
Industrial Engineering - Advanced Practice
You can start the Industrial Engineering and Management course with in-depth practical experience in the winter or summer semester. If you have already signed your contract before the start of your studies, you will first get to know your company during a short introductory phase of two to four weeks. Your studies will then begin directly at the university with the first lectures.
You will then alternate between theoretical and practical phases: You will study at THU during the lecture and examination periods, and gain valuable practical experience at the company during the lecture-free periods. You will also complete your practical semester and your Bachelor's thesis directly at your partner company.
