Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) - In depth practical training, The Ulm Model

Dual degree programme in mechatronics

The dual degree programme in Mechatronics at Ulm University of Applied Sciences (THU) combines mechanical engineering, electronics and computer science, offering you the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge directly in a practical setting. If you are interested in automation, robotics and intelligent systems, you will be preparing yourself for future-oriented roles in engineering.

During the practical phases, you will work directly within the company and assist in the development of mechatronic systems. You will programme control systems, support manufacturing and automation processes, or carry out measurements and tests on technical equipment.

The programme can be completed as a dual study programme with an in-depth practical component or according to the Ulm model. The Ulm model additionally includes recognised vocational training, for example as an industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician or electronics technician.
