We are delighted that you wish to apply for a Bachelor’s degree at Ulm University of Technology! The following overview is designed to help you through the application and admission process for your chosen degree programme.
Do you feel well informed and would like to apply straight away? On the THU application portal, you can create your application online, select your chosen degree programme and upload documents.
We offer a range of admission-free degree programs (without NC). This means that with a valid university entrance qualification, you are guaranteed a place. All you need is an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences, a subject-specific or general higher education entrance qualification or a comparable qualification. Neither a specific grade point average nor an aptitude test is required.

Some of our degree programs are admission-restricted (with NC), as there are more applications than study places. Applicants must therefore go through a selection procedure. Special procedures and deadlines apply for some degree programs (see below).

We will check your documents. If everything fits, you will take part in the selection process. After the application deadline, all valid applications will be ranked according to certain rules (in particular by grade) and allocated to the available study places.

In order to enrol on the Digital Media degree course, you must take part in the aptitude assessment procedure (EFV). This involves solving tasks that demonstrate aptitude in terms of design and technical/informational skills. After registering for the EFV, you will receive a confirmation email with all the information about the written exam. After successfully completing the EFV, you can enrol for the course.
In order to apply for the physiotherapy degree program, you must take an aptitude test at ulmkolleg. The dates for the aptitude test can be found on the ulmkolleg homepage. You can also register there.

For admission to a higher semester, your coursework and examinations from your previous studies in a related degree course must be recognized to a sufficient extent. If you have completed little or no coursework and examinations, please apply for the first semester.
