The Cloud Engineering & Computing specialization combines modern software development with scalable IT infrastructures. Students learn to design cloud platforms, operate applications efficiently and develop innovative digital solutions for business and society. The subject area provides practical know-how on topics such as cloud architectures, DevOps, automation, IT security and distributed systems - and thus prepares students for the technologies of tomorrow.
The following courses, among others, are supported by the department
The department uses the computer networks laboratory, which is separated from the campus network by an internal firewall and also allows security-sensitive laboratory exercises to be carried out.
The network laboratory is equipped with 32 workstations to support teaching in the fields of information technology, operating systems, computer networks and secure IT systems. In addition, network components are available for setting up network environments (16 routers, 16 switches and WLAN access points).
