Insights into the faculty

We serve all current megatrends: from mobility concepts of the future to the energy transition and the broad field of digitalization. We work in all future-oriented subject areas and actively shape the world of tomorrow.

In our faculty, we focus on individuality instead of rigid study programs. You can choose from a wide range of specializations and tailor your studies to your needs. Our professors are always at your side. They are professionals in their field with a passion for teaching.

Our Institute for Automation Systems (IAS) and our Institute for Communication Technology (ICT) provide state-of-the-art laboratories and technology. The best conditions for you to develop intelligent systems from software and hardware for the requirements of tomorrow.

Internationality is also very important to us. On the one hand, through our English-language Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (EET) course. Secondly, through cooperation with our international partner universities. There are many opportunities for our students, and we are happy to support you.

Network with regional industry

Our region has a strong economy. We work closely with innovative, medium-sized companies. Many of them are hidden champions in their sector with excellent technical solutions. These are ideal conditions for our students to gain practical experience.

We would particularly like to thank the VDE district group Ulmwhich has donated a prize to honor outstanding academic achievements.

Institutes

The Faculty's institutes turn theoretical knowledge into practical experience. Students apply what they have learned and gain the practical experience that is important for starting a career.
