The Service Robotics research group at Ulm University of Technology focuses on methods, algorithms and software tools for the development and implementation of service robots and autonomous systems in everyday life. The emphasis is on application-oriented research and development. New approaches are tested and evaluated using real robot systems in real-world environments.

The research group partners with companies, craft businesses, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and large corporations in bilateral and multilateral collaborations at the regional, national, and international levels. These collaborations take place within the framework of publicly funded programs, joint research projects, and contract research, among other initiatives.
