In this degree course, you will learn to plan, analyse and optimize production processes and production facilities for the manufacture of products, to control the flow of materials through the company, to deploy and manage employees correctly, to solve problems in the life cycle of technical products from an economic and ecological perspective and to digitize industrial processes profitably. The work takes place at the interface between production and business. The Production Management course lasts seven semesters.
Through the targeted selection of elective subjects, coursework and the company for the practical semester, students design their studies individually and develop an independent skills profile.
The Production Management degree program does not require an NC, which means that no specific grade point average is necessary. To be admitted, you will need a general higher education entrance qualification, a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or a comparable qualification. An interest in management and technology as well as enjoyment of planning and analytical tasks are helpful for a successful course of study. You should be able to think logically, be curious about digital technologies and enjoy developing creative solutions. The ability to work in a team and perseverance are crucial for the successful implementation of many projects. With your ability to think abstractly, you can translate concrete problems into abstract theory. A good command of English is also helpful, as English-language specialist literature is sometimes used. The Production Management course is NC-free, which means that you do not need a specific grade point average to be admitted to the course.
