FAQ: Bachelor's Degree Applications

Frequently asked questions about applying for a Bachelor's degree program

In the THU application portal you can create your application online, select the desired degree program and upload documents.

Please submit your application online and do not send us your documents by post.

  • University entrance qualification
  • Study orientation test
  • Additional documents for special conditions (e.g. foreign university entrance qualification, second degree, vocational training)

Please log in to the student portal with your existing user data and use the "My applications" tile.

Please check your application again. As a rule, you will need to submit additional documents. The red notes in your application will tell you what you need to do. If documents are missing, you have the option of submitting them in the application portal. Please only upload new documents that are marked in red.

Please apply again. The withdrawal can no longer be reversed.

If you did not receive admission in the entire application process (including no admission offer), you can reapply for available places in the coordinated succession process. Alternatively, you can enrol directly for an admission-free degree program (without NC).

First, you apply via the THU application portal. Next comes the offer of admission, which you must accept. You can then submit your application for enrollment. If your application has been successfully reviewed, you will be enrolled from the start of the semester.

You can enrol directly for open-admission degree programs without a selection process as long as you meet the requirements. Restricted-admission degree programs have limited places, so you have to apply and will be selected based on your grade, for example.
