The Faculty Council is the faculty’s central representative body. It sets the strategic, structural, and financial course for all academic and research activities. Representatives of the faculty, research staff, administration, and student body work together to draft binding resolutions.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Resource management: Decision-making regarding the targeted allocation of budgetary funds, facilities, and technical infrastructure.
Your student representatives
The elected student members specifically advocate for the academic and higher education policy interests of the student body on the Faculty Council. In the event of structural challenges in your studies, questions regarding examination regulations, or internal university conflicts, they act as your direct representatives and bring your concerns to the council anonymously.
Participation and Transparency
Faculty Council meetings typically include a session open to the university community. Students are invited to attend these meetings as guests to gain firsthand insight into current developments in university policy. The current meeting dates and approved agendas can be found on the university’s internal information portal.
