Business Informatics - Ulm Model
The dual degree program based on the Ulm model at Ulm University of Applied Sciences begins every year on September 1.
You’ll spend the first six months at the company, starting your vocational training. This is followed by two semesters of foundational studies. You’ll then spend a year at the company, complete your vocational training, and gain valuable practical experience.
As the program progresses, theoretical and practical phases alternate. You will work on projects in specialized departments and write your bachelor’s thesis at the company during your final semester.
Schedule for the Bachelor’s in Business Informatics under the Ulm Model
Business Informatics - Advanced Practice
You can start the degree course with in-depth practical business informatics in the winter or summer semester. If you have already signed your contract before the start of your studies, you will first get to know your company during a short introductory phase of two to four weeks. Your studies will then begin directly at the university with the first lectures.
You will then alternate between theoretical and practical phases: You will study at THU during the lecture and examination periods, and gain valuable practical experience at the company during the lecture-free periods. You will also complete your practical semester and your Bachelor's thesis directly at your partner company.
