About me

Markus Hahn completed his degree at the Technical University of Ilmenau in 2007, specialising in cognitive robotics, and subsequently carried out research into safe human-machine interaction as part of a collaboration between Daimler AG and the University of Bielefeld. Since 2010, he has worked in the automotive industry for companies such as Bosch, Daimler and Continental on topics relating to assisted and autonomous driving in the areas of perception, fusion and function.
His research covers topics such as safe autonomous systems, including their middleware, distributed algorithms, software engineering, ‘edge AI’ – enabling sensors and end devices to ‘learn to think’ – and radar scene understanding.
