With Erasmus+, you have the opportunity to study in another European country and develop your language, subject-specific and intercultural skills.
For all study periods at THU’s Erasmus+ partner universities, you will automatically receive an Erasmus+ grant and can receive funding for a period of two to twelve months.
You will receive funding for your semester abroad in accordance with the nationally defined Erasmus+ funding rates. Your funding includes

If you travel at least one way (outward or return journey) by sustainable means of transport - e.g. train, long-distance bus, carpool or bicycle - you can apply for the Green Travel Top-up .
You can apply for the top-up and the additional travel days as part of your Erasmus+ scholarship process.
Students with a degree of disability of 20 and students with a chronic illness that leads to additional financial requirements for the stay abroad can apply for this grant.

The amount of the top-up is €250 per month.
If your stay abroad incurs particularly high additional costs, you can also apply a few months in advance for a real cost application, which can cover up to €15,000 per semester, e.g. for an accompanying person. A grant for a preparatory trip to explore the local conditions is also possible. This requires a lot of time in advance, so we ask students to seek advice from our International Office at an early stage.
Students whose parents or guardians do not have a university degree are considered first-time graduates. A degree from a university-like vocational academy is considered an academic degree. Degree courses completed abroad also count as academic qualifications, even if they are not recognized in Germany. A master craftsman's certificate does not count as an academic degree.
You must submit your declaration in lieu of an oath and the proof for first-time graduates in the online form.

Erasmus+ International Dimension (KA131) offers scholarship funding for studying abroad at selected partner universities outside the Erasmus+ area.
The funded partner universities are published on this website each year in advance. Scholarships are awarded as part of the regular application procedure for exchange places.
The ERASMUS Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027 (ECHE) is awarded by the EU Commission. It proves that Ulm University of Applied Sciences meets all the requirements for successful participation in the ERASMUS program

Reminder procedure
All grant recipients must submit all documents in full and on time. Missing or incomplete documents will result in a reminder procedure. The International Office will inform the funding recipients and those responsible for the study program and ask them to complete the documents within 14 days. Failure to do so will result in a refund. In the event of a reminder procedure, please contact your Erasmus+ contact person at Ulm University of Applied Sciences immediately.
